Getting Started
開始使用
How do I know which course is right for my child?
Our courses are designed for specific year levels (Year 1-2, 3-4, 5-6). We recommend choosing the course that matches your child's current school year. However, if you're unsure, book a FREE trial lesson and our teachers will assess your child and provide recommendations.
What is included in the free trial lesson?
The free trial is a full class experience where your child joins a small group (4-6 students) for a complete lesson. They'll participate in all activities, and you'll see our teaching style firsthand. After the trial, our teacher will provide feedback and answer any questions you have.
How do I enroll after the trial?
If you're happy after the trial, simply complete the enrollment form on our website or contact us directly. We'll reserve a spot in your preferred class time and send you payment details and access information.
Classes & Scheduling
課程與時間表
How long is each class?
Each class runs for 60 minutes (1 hour). This gives enough time for engaging activities, reading/writing practice, and individual attention without overwhelming young learners.
How many students are in each class?
We keep our classes small with only 4-6 students per group. This ensures every child gets individual attention, opportunities to participate, and personalized feedback from the teacher.
What if my child misses a class?
If your child will miss a class, please request a recording at least 24 hours in advance. Recordings are available for 7 days only - access expires after this period. Please note that make-up classes are not offered, so we encourage regular attendance.
Can I change my child's class time?
Yes! Subject to availability, you can request to switch to a different time slot. Contact us and we'll do our best to accommodate your schedule.
How long is each term?
Term lengths vary by course, typically ranging from 8-10 weeks. We generally follow the Australian school term calendar with breaks aligned to school holidays. Please check the specific course details for exact duration.
Technology & Access
技術與存取
What technology do we need?
You'll need: (1) A computer, laptop, or tablet with a stable internet connection, (2) A webcam and microphone (built-in is fine), (3) A quiet space for your child to learn. We use Zoom for classes - we'll send you detailed setup instructions upon enrollment.
How does online learning work?
Classes are conducted live via Zoom in real-time. Students can see and interact with their teacher and classmates, participate in activities, share their work, and receive immediate feedback. It's highly interactive and engaging!
Do I need to be present during classes?
For younger students (Year 1-2), we recommend a parent be nearby for technical support. Older students (Year 3-6) are usually fine to participate independently, though you're always welcome to observe.
What if we have technical issues during class?
Our teachers are experienced with online learning and can help troubleshoot basic issues. If your child can't attend due to technical problems, they can watch the recording and we'll follow up to ensure they don't fall behind.
Curriculum & Learning
課程與學習
What materials do students need?
Just basic stationery: notebook, pencils, colors/markers, and occasionally printed worksheets (we'll provide these digitally for you to print). All reading materials and learning resources are provided digitally through our platform.
How do you assess student progress?
Teachers provide ongoing formative assessment through class participation, completed work, and observation. Parents receive detailed progress reports mid-term and end-of-term, plus informal updates as needed.
Is homework assigned?
Yes, light homework is assigned to reinforce learning. Typically 15-30 minutes per week depending on the year level. It's designed to be manageable and engaging, not overwhelming.
Does the curriculum align with Australian standards?
Absolutely! Our curriculum is designed by qualified Australian teachers and aligns with the Australian Curriculum for English. We focus on the key literacy skills appropriate for each year level.
Pricing & Payment
價格與付款
